Finding My Place at Aspire
Hi, I’m Sara! I’m Aspire’s Client Success Specialist, which basically means I get to do all the fun stuff, our social media, videos, marketing materials, and everything in between. I joined Aspire in late September, and today I wanted to share a little about why this position means so much to me.
Back in August, I decided to return to real estate full time. I used to work in title and loved it, but I missed connecting with clients and creating content that tells real stories. Working on my own, though, started to feel isolating. I realized I wanted to be part of a team again, somewhere that felt like home, where I could combine creativity, community, and real estate.
I interviewed with a few brokerages that were looking for marketing help and thought I had already made my decision. But then I met Tommy and Jeremy from Aspire. The moment I walked into the office, I knew this was it. The space just has this energy, it’s warm, beautifully designed with golds and blues, and it smells like the inside of a high-end boutique. It’s the kind of place where you instantly feel comfortable.
Once I started talking with Tommy and Jeremy, everything just clicked. The conversation flowed easily, and for me, that’s always a sign I’ve found the right people. But the real test for me in any interview is when I bring up my service dog in training, Abby.
Working with a service dog is an experience that most people don’t fully understand. Abby isn’t just a dog…she’s my medical device, my partner, and my safety net. But not everyone sees her that way. I’ve had people tell me she would “scare clients,” or question if I could handle a fast-paced job. Those comments hurt, not just because they’re untrue, but because they underestimate both of us. What many people don’t realize is that working with a service dog doesn’t limit me, it empowers me.
Abby gives me the confidence and stability to show up fully, even on days when my body makes things harder. She helps me manage my medical needs quietly and professionally so that I can do what I do best: connect, create, and get things done. And trust me, I get things done. People sometimes underestimate how hard I can work because they see the dog first, but if anything, Abby and I are a team that runs on determination.
When I brought her up during my interview, Tommy and Jeremy didn’t hesitate. They wanted to meet her. They asked questions respectfully. They told me they’d accommodate anything I needed without hesitation. That kind of immediate acceptance is rare, and it meant everything to me.
That’s when I knew I’d found my place.
Now that I’ve met everyone here, I can honestly say everyone at Aspire carries that same energy, genuine kindness, inclusion, and support. It’s not just about selling houses here. It’s about creating a space where everyone feels comfortable, seen, and capable of doing great work.
